Many students choose to live in our student residence apartments in downtown Vancouver because it is a 15-minute walk to the college, and it is a great place to meet other students from around the world. The residence has fully-furnished single, shared and studio apartments.

2. Homestay
Enjoy the Canadian lifestyle living with a Canadian homestay family. Homestay accommodation is a fun, safe, and affordable way to stay in Vancouver
Students can stay either in a single room with a shared bath, or a single room with a private bath. Both plans have 2 meals per day during the week and 3 meals on the weekend. If there is another student in the same homestay, they will speak a different language. All families are screened and monitored. Students with special requests concerning religion, diet, allergies, etc. can be accommodated. Living with a homestay family is a great way to practice your English and be immersed in Canadian culture.

1. BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
Canadian College offers a wide variety of short and long-term certificates and diplomas in the field of business management that give students a solid foundation in traditional business topics with a global mindset. 

St. Lawrence Business programs at Canadian College offer the additional benefit of granting students diplomas and certificates from a Canadian public college.



 2. HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
The Hospitality Management program at Canadian College offers a range of both short and long-term certificate and diploma options, which are certified by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AH & LA) and internationally recognized to meet professional industry standards. Each program and course therein, has been designed to provide students the competitive advantage require to be universally prepared to work in a global economy.


3. INTERNATIONAL TRADE
The Canadian College International Trade Diploma equips individuals with the practical skills they need to succeed in today's competitive global marketplace. Our partner, Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), is an international trade training and professional certification body that designs IATTO standard training courses recognized by World Trade Centers around the globe. Our Diploma program is centered on international trade best practices and imparts knowledge and practical skills that students can apply immediately – providing competitive advantage and elevating their position in world markets. The 12-month Co-op along with the six FITT courses provide Canadian College students with the opportunity apply for their Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) certification upon completion of the program.


4. PROJECT MANAGEMENT & CO-OP (DIPLOMA)
This program is designed for students pursuing a career within the field of project management. The coursework gives students an understanding of the processes and techniques required in project management, and a 12-month Co-op provides valuable work experience in the industry. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a Canadian College Project Management Diploma and the option to challenge exams to receive either PMI's PMP certification (minimum 3 years related work experience) or the CAPM certification (no experience necessary.)

This program is intended to prepare a student for a career in Project Management. At the end of this program, students will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of project management operations, including human resource management, risk management, budgeting and accounting, marketing, and business computer applications.

Admission Requirements

  • High school diploma/completion certificate or equivalent.
  • Students must meet one of the following language requirements: Canadian College English Placement test 130; Smrt English 130; IELTS 5.5 overall with a minimum score of 5.0 in each section; TOEFL iBT 46-59; CAEL 45.

5. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Canadian College offers 2 diplomas in the field of information technology. The St. Lawrence IT program at Canadian College offers the additional benefit of granting students a diploma from a Canadian public college.

6. SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
This course provides an overview of the concept known as social media. This course explores the development, trends and tools that are assisting organizations to better connect with their audiences. Students will be immersed into a variety of social media platforms and services, and will become familiar with integrating social media tools with one another. Furthermore, students will gain a broader understanding of the impact and the wider implications of emerging social engagement tools upon organizations and the marketplace.


7. GENERAL ARTS & SCIENCE
This is a St. Lawrence College program delivered in partnership by Canadian College. Students receive two diplomas, one from St. Lawrence College and another from Canadian College.

Student Receive

The General Arts & Science Diploma provides a broad liberal arts curriculum that prepares students for the workforce, college programs, or transfer to university. Core courses provide a solid foundation in communications and interpersonal skills, computers, mathematics, analytical skills, science, and general education. Courses are chosen in consultation with the program coordinator, ensuring the right mix to meet each student’s interests and vocational goals.

Admission Requirements

Secondary School Diploma including Math 11 and English 12, or equivalent. Student must meet one of the language requirements.
  • Canadian College English Placement test, Pass with 60%
  • Smrt English 140, Pass
  • St. Lawrence College ESL Advanced, Pass with 60%
  • IELTS 6.0 (minimum of 5.5 in each section)
  • TOEFL CBT 213, TOEFL IBT 78
